Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with campus contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and common areas, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or unusual conditions to the appropriate personnel.
• Support daily campus operations by assisting with directions, escort requests, event coverage, and other security-related duties based on site-specific needs.
