As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Equipment Operator in Charlotte, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen individuals, packages, and authorized property entering or leaving the distribution location in accordance with established screening procedures.
  • Monitor access points and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, damaged seals, and other security-related concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observations and actions in required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, dock doors, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
