As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception in Harrisburg, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • Have at least one year of law enforcement experience, at least two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or at least three years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management.
  • Proficiency in using computers or tablets is required for all positions. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to navigate software applications relevant to their role.
  • Candidates must possess a valid CPR certification. Free training is provided by Allied Universal for those who do not have certification at the time of application.
  • A background in customer service is essential. Candidates should have experience in handling customer inquiries and providing assistance in a professional manner.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age to be eligible for employment.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service at the front desk of a financial institution by following site-specific procedures and supporting a professional, welcoming environment.
  • Monitor access to the location, greet and direct visitors, verify credentials as required, and maintain visitor logs in accordance with site policies.
  • Observe lobby and entrance activity and report unusual conditions, access concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Complete required reports, maintain accurate front-desk documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
