As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception Intake in Chicago, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:
DayTimeSun03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:
Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, tenants, shoppers, and employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a retail and mall location.
• Staff the front desk or lobby area, greet and direct visitors, manage access in accordance with site procedures, and maintain a professional, welcoming presence.
• Monitor visitor activity, access points, and available security-related systems, reporting unusual conditions or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
