As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Lobby Host in Washington, DC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk location.
  • Monitor lobby and front desk activity, assist with access and visitor management processes, and help to deter unauthorized entry through attentive observation and professional communication.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to hotel management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Support daily front desk operations by documenting activity, maintaining required logs and reports, and communicating clearly with guests, staff, and Allied Universal personnel regarding security-related matters.
