Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, bags, packages, and/or personal items in accordance with post orders and security-related policies while maintaining a professional and respectful presence.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through required documentation and communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around screening areas, entry points, loading and unloading zones, and the perimeter as directed by site procedures.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, prohibited items, and/or policy violations by monitoring high-traffic areas and following established screening protocols.
