Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer supporting a dynamic utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and remain visible throughout the site. Requirements

  • Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent
  • Concealed Carry Weapons Permit
  • Armed Guard Card/License
  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or local responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including operational areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify entry and exit activity in accordance with site post orders, helping to support authorized access for personnel, contractors, and/or visitors.
  • Maintain a visible presence while following armed post responsibilities, reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to help support daily operations.
