About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control Operator for an assigned industrial site in Jacksonville, Florida. The role provides reliable weekly anchor shifts, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and schedule. The position also allows the officer to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, offering the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust hours as needed. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out site-specific access control procedures and responding to emergencies. Duties include controlling access, maintaining records and credentials, responding to alarms and incidents, and conducting patrols.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points by verifying identification, visitor authorization, and contractor credentials.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and delivery records; issue and collect access credentials as directed by site policies.
• Respond calmly to access-control alarms, unauthorized entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the business, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
