About The Position

As a Certified Bilingual EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) Security Officer for a Pharmaceutical area, you will be a member of a pre-hospital emergency medical care team. Your role will be to serve and protect clients in a variety of industries, businesses, healthcare, government, and more.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed positions.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • Possess and maintain a state-certified Basic EMT, Intermediate EMT, or Paramedic license.
  • Current CPR certification for Healthcare Providers or Professional Rescuers.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required only for positions that involve driving vehicles.
  • Possess a clean driving record for the past 3 years.
  • Possess intermediate computer skills to operate innovative wireless technology at client-specific sites.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Administer first aid and other emergency care to ill or injured persons, and assist in coordinating their transport to medical facilities.
  • Provide customer service to our clients by applying security procedures, site-specific policies, and, where applicable, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to emergency calls received through the dispatcher, including requests for medical assistance, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Provide emergency medical care and other treatment in accordance with EMT certification.
  • Determine the nature and extent of illnesses and injuries.
  • Report all medical incidents, accidents, or emergencies, including the preparation of a Daily Activity Log on each shift, describing all activities performed.
  • Complete an Incident Report documenting any medical response calls that occurred on the client's property.
  • Prioritize to determine first aid or emergency assistance procedures to follow; request additional help, including specialized rescue services and utility support when necessary.
  • Perform regular and random patrols within the facility and on the business perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.
