About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver at an Educational Institution in Redwood City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while documenting security-related concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and general questions, and report maintenance and/or policy-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support campus policies by observing daily activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and coordinating with supervisors, local authorities, and/or campus representatives when needed.
