Job Description As a Security Officer - Education Campus Rounds in Bryn Mawr, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or hazards.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and security-related activities as required by site procedures.
- Communicate professionally and promptly with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and emergency responders as needed.
- Support the enforcement of location-specific rules and regulations to help to deter disruptions and promote a positive atmosphere within the educational environment.
