Join Allied Universal at an education location as an unarmed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. You will perform routine rounds, document observations, and coordinate with site contacts as needed. You will be part of a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that leads with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor check-in, badge verification, and directing guests to appropriate locations while maintaining required logs and documentation.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with school administration and/or local responders as directed.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to oncoming personnel and site leadership.
