About The Position

As a Security Officer Driving Role Patrol Guard in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer at a government transportation location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, riders, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, bus areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, public areas, and restricted locations while assisting with crowd management, directing foot traffic, and addressing policy-related questions from the public.
• Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, preparing incident reports, and communicating clearly with supervisors, client representatives, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
