Job Description As a Security Officer - Driving Role Patrol Guard in Whittier, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a cultural memorial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a cultural institution setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control concerns, visitor issues, and/or medical emergencies until additional resources arrive.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and patrol activity per site requirements, including completing written reports and communicating updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
  • Monitor and/or operate site systems as assigned such as gates, visitor logs, cameras, and communication equipment, and coordinate with local public responders when requested.
