As an unarmed Patrol Officer in an education location, you will conduct routine patrols and high-visibility presence across campus areas, help identify and report security-related concerns, and provide responsive customer service to students, staff, and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting mobile patrol coverage and timely communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following site-specific policies, access procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disturbances, and suspicious activity, while documenting security-related details.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and other assigned posts, reporting security-related hazards, policy violations, and unusual conditions to the appropriate contacts.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and pass-downs, and communicate clearly with site representatives, Allied Universal leadership, and local responders as needed.
