As a Security Officer Access Control in Clarksburg, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License with at least 1 year of driving experience
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing protocols, and security-related policies at a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, manage visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, lobby areas, and perimeter to observe conditions, report unusual activity, and support access control expectations.
  • Assist with badge checks, delivery screening, and contractor entry procedures while documenting daily activities, incidents, and security-related concerns in required reports.
