Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. In this role, you will help support security-related operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience are preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential checks, and other security-related policies for an industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts and emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and suspicious activity by maintaining a visible presence and reporting security-related concerns promptly and accurately.
