Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in an educational location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with school administration and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to support authorized entry procedures and directing guests, deliveries, and/or contractors according to site requirements.
  • Assist with monitoring school grounds during arrival, dismissal, events, and/or after-hours activities, helping to deter unauthorized presence and reporting maintenance, lighting, or security-related concerns.
