About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Driver Role in Milford, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy food and beverage location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming environment. This is a driving post. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Control access at entry and exit points by verifying credentials, screening visitors, and documenting deliveries, contractors, and/or vendor activity in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and drivers with check-in procedures, directions, and security-related questions while maintaining awareness of facility access activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
  • Monitor ingress and egress for production, warehouse, and/or administrative areas to help support authorized access and proper movement of people, vehicles, and materials throughout the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting security-related concerns, access control issues, and conditions that may require follow-up or emergency response activity.
