About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol in Chesapeake, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed, driving patrol officer supporting a commercial real estate location. You will conduct routine vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear, professional communication. This role requires a valid driver’s license and offers a fast-moving post where you can build trust with tenants and staff while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures, property rules, and emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate contacts and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout commercial property common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and building activity to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or loitering, and assist with directing visitors to appropriate entrances and offices.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal supervision and/or property management.
