About The Position

As a Security Officer - TWIC Badge Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation and maritime facility, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and support a professional site presence aligned with Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A TSA Issued TWIC is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, and/or personnel by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating updates to supervision and appropriate site contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, outdoor areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, check identification and/or credentials as directed, and maintain visitor and vehicle logs in accordance with site policies.
  • Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation, and promptly report maintenance hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through established channels.
