Job Description As a Security Officer - Residential Patrol Driver in Portsmouth, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A Guard Card and/or security-related license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation and requesting additional resources as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, maintenance issues, and policy concerns.
Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor directions and wayfinding, and help to maintain orderly movement in lobbies, waiting areas, and other high-traffic zones.
Document and report incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate with site leadership, nursing staff, and local responders according to post orders and procedures.
