As a Security Officer Licensed Driver Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support guests and staff through strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, offering the chance to work with an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, store associates, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, storefront areas, common areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support access control practices, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior.
• Support retail loss prevention efforts by observing surroundings, reporting policy violations and/or hazards, and assisting with crowd management during busy business periods.
