Our unarmed officers in this education location conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related concerns, and support students, staff, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, students, visitors, and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, document security-related concerns, and/or report suspicious behavior according to site procedures.
• Prepare detailed incident and activity reports, relay important information to supervisors and/or campus contacts, and support day-to-day security-related operations across varying environments and conditions.
