As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Role in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail mall location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at the location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, assist with crowd and line management during busy periods, and communicate with property management and/or local responders as needed.
Support retail and mall operations by observing for policy violations, assisting with directions and general inquiries, and documenting security-related concerns and/or incidents accurately.
