About The Position
As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Role in Bloomington, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol professional at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Bring a caring, agile approach as you support tenants, visitors, and property operations with integrity, reliability, and teamwork.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Respond to incidents, maintenance-related concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related issues according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the property, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and communicate with property management and/or emergency personnel when needed.
- Support daily operations by observing for unusual activity, assisting with directions and general information, and completing required reports related to security-related events and patrol activity.
