About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Response in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Driving Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven values.

Requirements

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance issues, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
