As a Security Officer -Driver Patrol - Overnights in North Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to support a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and healthcare personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, laboratories, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control procedures, and report suspicious persons, behaviors, or security-related concerns.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
