Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor activity, and conduct routine patrols to help support a secure environment. This is a driving post. You will represent our caring culture through strong communication, professionalism, and integrity while delivering reliable, customer-focused security-related services as part of a collaborative team.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and vendors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, issue passes as needed, and maintain accurate access logs for personnel, guests, and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing facility activity, challenging unapproved entry attempts when appropriate, and reporting unusual or suspicious behavior.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas, including the business and perimeter, with attention to doors, gates, loading areas, and other access-sensitive locations.
