As a Security Officer Driver Entry Screening in Channelview, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support security-related operations with strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, help to deter incidents, and bring our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values to every shift.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and document access activity to help support security-related operations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual conditions and reporting security-related concerns.
  • Screen vehicles, contractors, and deliveries entering the location, help to deter unauthorized access, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
