As an Access Control Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support site access procedures while providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted and sensitive areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and key access points, with attention to security-related conditions that may vary across the location.
  • Document daily activities, visitor information, and unusual events, and support incident reporting and follow-up in accordance with post orders and client-facing procedures.
