Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, visitor management activities, and/or emergency response actions appropriate for an educational location.
  • Monitor access at the front desk by greeting students, staff, faculty, and visitors, verifying identification and/or credentials, and directing individuals according to location policies.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with campus contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Maintain awareness of front desk activity, document security-related events and visitor information, and report unusual behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy issues to Allied Universal and site leadership.
