As a Security Officer - Distribution Site in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. At a dynamic technology location, Security Professionals monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will support a welcoming, secure environment through strong customer service, clear communication, and attention to security-related concerns. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery traffic in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and requested assistance to site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately in required reports and maintain professional communication with site personnel.
