About The Position

As a Security Officer - Distribution Front Desk in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and team members. Your role is to manage access control, assist with badge procedures, and provide outstanding customer service. By maintaining a visible presence and supporting a welcoming environment, you help to deter security-related incidents while embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist visitors, employees, and/or delivery personnel at the front desk, providing high levels of customer service while following Allied Universal procedures and site-specific policies.
Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Communicate with site staff and/or management as needed regarding security-related issues or unusual activity.
Assist with emergency response activities at the front desk when appropriate, helping to coordinate communications and direct individuals as needed.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing Allied Universal at the location.
