As a Security Officer - Distribution Facility Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, assist with screening processes, and support access control activities. In this role, you will help to discourage incidents through a visible presence, strong communication, and attentive customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all visitors, drivers, and team members by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or personal belongings in accordance with post orders and client guidelines, and report prohibited items, irregularities, and/or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity, equipment concerns, and/or operational issues for documentation and follow-up.
