Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential verification practices, and visitor management protocols at a healthcare location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, help to deter unauthorized access, and document security-related concerns, incidents, and/or unusual activity in accordance with post orders and facility guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for security-related issues, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require follow-up or reporting.
• Assist with screening procedures, direct foot traffic at controlled access points, and provide clear information to staff and visitors regarding identification requirements, restricted areas, and/or after-hours entry procedures.
