Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Control access to the location by verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
Assist in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring entrances, exits, and designated checkpoints throughout the logistics and distribution facility.
Provide customer service by answering questions, giving directions, and responding to client and visitor inquiries in a professional manner.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any irregularities.
Monitor security-related equipment such as cameras, alarms, and communication devices to support the overall security-related operations at the location.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate, following established procedures for the logistics and distribution environment.
