As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet team members and visitors, screen access points, and monitor assigned areas for security-related concerns. You will perform routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter incidents, and document observations with clear communication. Requirements

• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, and drivers entering and exiting the facility by verifying identification, processing sign-in and/or sign-out, and controlling access points according to post orders.
• Conduct entry screening such as bag inspections and/or package inspections as permitted by site policy, and document findings and exceptions in required logs and reports.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and screening equipment, and report irregular activity to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, assisting with crowd and/or traffic flow, and completing incident documentation.
