As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entrances and exits at a logistics and distribution location, helping to deter unauthorized access and security-related incidents. Your presence and routine patrols will help maintain a secure environment for staff and visitors. You will also provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, reflecting Allied Universal's commitment to teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate activity logs and incident reports as required by Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
