Join Allied Universal at a busy food and beverage location where you will manage access control, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and help maintain orderly entry using badge systems and site technology. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, document activity, and communicate clearly with site leaders. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a food and/or beverage production and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at gates, entrances, and/or checkpoints by verifying credentials, processing employees and visitors, managing sign-in and/or sign-out logs, and issuing temporary badges as directed by site policy.
  • Screen and document inbound and outbound traffic including delivery drivers, vendors, and contractors by checking identification, shipment paperwork, and vehicle information, and directing vehicles to designated areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, completing written documentation, and coordinating with site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
