You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your team. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures and access control policies at a commercial real estate location, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor passes, managing badge access, and maintaining access and incident logs per post orders.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and building systems for security-related concerns, and report irregular activity, hazards, and maintenance issues to the appropriate contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations, access lockdowns, and coordination with property management and/or public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and to identify security-related concerns.
