About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control in Walton, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a retail and mall location as an Access Control Officer, where you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and support a welcoming guest experience. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with store teams and management. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail or mall location.
  • Staff access control points by greeting entrants, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials as directed, and maintaining visitor and delivery logs.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas for unusual activity, support crowd and line management as needed, and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or loitering.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and/or local responders when required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, corridors, back-of-house areas, and the perimeter, and document observations and incidents in written reports.
