About The Position

As a Security Officer - Dispatch in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a government transportation location, you will support daily operations by monitoring cameras and alarms, coordinating security-related responses over radio and phone, tracking activities, and documenting incidents. You will be a visible, trusted point of contact for riders and staff, helping to deter unwanted activity through clear communication and quick coordination. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Operate dispatch functions by monitoring radios, alarms, and/or video systems, prioritizing calls for service, and coordinating the response of on-site personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, gathering key details, relaying information to appropriate parties, and documenting actions taken.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports of incidents, dispatch activity, access events, and unusual conditions in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter as assigned, noting and reporting conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
