About The Position

As a Security Officer - Dispatch Operations in Cambridge, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch Officer at a fast-paced healthcare location, where you will monitor systems, route calls for service, and coordinate responses to security-related and/or operational incidents. You will support routine patrol activity by tracking officer status, documenting events, and helping to deter issues through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate coordinating emergency response activities from the dispatch center.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, phone lines, radio traffic and/or access control activity, and dispatch officers and/or maintenance or medical response resources as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, gathering key details, relaying accurate updates and escalating per post orders.
  • Maintain accurate logs and incident documentation, including call records, key events, dispatch actions and report distribution per site requirements.
  • Coordinate regular and random patrol assignments and check-ins, track officer status and locations, and report unusual activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
