About The Position

As a Security Officer - Dispatch Center in Maiden, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and media location, you will be the hub for security-related communications, monitoring alarm and camera activity, coordinating officer response, and supporting visitors and employees with professional service. You will help document incidents, share clear updates over radio and phone, and use computer-based tools to keep operations moving. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Operate the dispatch center by monitoring alarm, video, and access control systems, receiving calls for service, prioritizing events, and communicating assignments via radio, phone, and/or messaging tools.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and local responders per post orders.
  • Complete incident reports, dispatch logs, and shift documentation, escalating issues to site leadership according to established notification protocols.
  • Support a fast-paced technology location by verifying visitor and vendor requests, issuing directions, and coordinating after-hours support in line with site procedures.
