About The Position

As a Security Officer Dispatch Specialist in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
  • Monitor dispatch communications, cameras, alarms, radios, and other site systems, and coordinate timely responses to incidents, requests for assistance, and unusual activity.
  • Document incidents, maintenance concerns, visitor activity, and other security-related events in logs and reports with clear, accurate, and timely details.
  • Support access control operations by verifying credentials, processing visitor and contractor entry requests, and communicating with site contacts regarding deliveries, escorts, and after-hours activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, and report hazards, equipment issues, and policy concerns to help to deter disruptions and/or unauthorized activity.
