As a Security Officer - Dispatch Driver in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will coordinate security-related responses, manage radio and phone communications, document activity, and help direct field teams to priority calls. You will maintain a visible, customer-focused presence while supporting tenants, visitors, and property staff with clear updates and calm problem-solving. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, backed by teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to ride a bike is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by supporting security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate the dispatch center by monitoring alarms, cameras, and communication channels, prioritizing calls for service, and coordinating responses with on-site personnel and/or local resources as directed.
  • Receive and triage incident reports, gather key details, provide clear radio and/or phone instructions, and assist with de-escalation by communicating in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, incident documentation, and shift handoff notes, including time-stamped events, actions taken, and notifications made.
  • Support access control and property operations by directing visitors and contractors, tracking keys and/or credentials when assigned, and reporting maintenance hazards or suspicious activity to property management.
