About The Position

As a Security Officer - Dispatch Driver in Carmel, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a utilities location as a Dispatch Officer, supporting security-related operations from a central hub. You will monitor cameras and alarms, manage access control and badge activity, document incidents, and dispatch resources to help to deter issues and support site continuity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Bring strong communication and customer service while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have 5 years of industrial security-related experience or 2 years of military, law enforcement, EMT, or fire department services experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a utilities location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor dispatch consoles and security-related systems including alarms, radios, phone lines, and/or CCTV; document activity and communicate updates to appropriate contacts.
  • Receive, triage, and coordinate response to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site personnel and/or public emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Maintain accurate security-related logs and reports, including incident documentation, shift activity reports, and dispatch records, using computer-based systems.
  • Conduct regular and random security-related checks of assigned areas using camera tours and/or scheduled rounds as required by site procedures; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
