As a Security Officer Dispatch Driver in Mount Vernon, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor activity, coordinate communications, and support timely responses to security-related needs. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver exceptional customer service with clear communication while bringing agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor radios, phones, alarms, and/or dispatch systems to receive calls for service, document activity, and communicate routine and critical information to on-site personnel and leadership in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Coordinate the dispatch of officers and/or appropriate site personnel to incidents, access concerns, medical calls, equipment issues, and other security-related situations while helping to support timely response efforts.
  • Maintain detailed logs, incident reports, and status updates, and relay key information between field personnel, control points, and/or client representatives according to post orders and site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
