As a Security Officer Dispatch Console in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Officer in a dynamic tech and telecommunications location, you will monitor activity, coordinate responses to security-related incidents, and support routine operations through clear communication and strong attention to detail. You will help maintain a professional presence while delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and site personnel by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response protocols appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, telephones, and other communication systems from a dispatch post, and coordinate responses to routine issues, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Dispatch personnel to reported concerns, document activities and incident details, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and communication records for daily operations.
  • Support access control and visitor management activities by verifying information, communicating with site contacts, and reporting unusual or unauthorized activity that could help to deter security-related concerns.
  • Communicate with site leadership, first responders, and/or Allied Universal personnel during emergencies, service requests, and operational changes to support an organized response.
